You’ve plenty of work – but are you actually making enough money from it?

Helping trade and service business owners get their bookkeeping under control, understand where the money is going and see which jobs are actually making money.

Clear numbers, practical analysis and regular financial support — without the cost and hassle of employing someone in-house.

Does this sound like you?

  • The business is busy but not sure if you're really making enough money.

  • Cash can be tight even when plenty of work going through.

  • You're not always sure which jobs are the most profitable.

  • Costs are creeping up over time

  • You're pricing jobs but not always sure if you're pricing for profit.

  • Invoices, receipts and paperwork can get behind when you're busy.

  • You're making decisions off the bank balance rather than solid financial information.

Where are you right now?

Every practice is at a different stage. Choose the option that sounds most like where you are now.

Financial Foundations

I need to get the finances set up properly

For new or smaller businesses who want to get the paperwork organised and the right systems in place.

Bookkeeping & Profit Support

The business is busy, but I want it to be more profitable

For business owners who want someone t stay on top of the books and explain where the money is going.

Profit & Performance Support

I have a bookkeeper but I want to know more about what’s making or losing money

For business owners who want to know what’s making money, what isn’t, and where to focus next.

What Financial Clarity Could Give You ...

Financial clarity is not about producing more reports or spending hours looking at spreadsheets.

It is about understanding what is happening in your business, why it is happening and what you may need to change.

Confidence in your decisions

Make decisions about pricing, staffing, spending and growth based on accurate financial information rather than instinct alone.

A clearer view of profit

Understand which areas of the practice are performing well, where margins are being squeezed and whether increased turnover is actually improving profitability.

Better control of cashflow

See what money is coming in, what is going out and what the practice will need over the coming months.

More time to focus

Spend less time trying to organise figures or work out what they mean, with your bookkeeping and financial information kept clear, current and useful.

How I Work

Every business is different.

You might be starting out and need help getting the financial side set up properly. You might already have a busy established business but feel you don’t have a clear enough picture of how it is performing. Or you may simply want someone to take the bookkeeping off your hands and give you useful insight into the numbers at the same time.

That’s why I don’t start with a fixed package.

I start by understanding where your business is right now, what you already have in place and what you would like to improve.

1

Get in Touch

The first step is simply to have a quick chat.

I’ll ask about your business, the type of work you do, how you currently manage the bookkeeping and where things feel unclear or difficult at the moment.

You don’t need to have everything organised before we speak. In fact, many business owners get in touch because they know they need better visibility — they’re just not sure what kind of support they need yet.

2

I look at what you already have

Before recommending anything, I want to understand what’s already in place.

That might include your bookkeeping, invoicing, records, software and the financial information you currently rely on to make decisions.

Where possible, I work with what you already have. The aim is to get a clearer, more reliable picture of sales, costs, profit and cashflow — without making things more complicated than they need to be.

3

We decide what would make the biggest difference.

Once I understand the current position, I’ll recommend the support I think will be most useful. That might be putting stronger financial foundations in place.

It might mean taking over your bookkeeping and providing regular analysis alongside it.

Or you may already have good bookkeeping in place and simply need someone to look more closely at performance, margins, costs, and the areas that are driving – or limiting- profit.

You'll receive a clear proposal setting out what I recommend, costs and what is involved before you any further commitment required.
