Does this sound familiar ...
- I seem to be the person holding everything together
- People are working hard, but things still get missed
- We do not have enough structure in how the business runs
- There is not enough clarity around who owns what
- Too many issues still come back to me
- I do not always have a clear picture of performance
- The business feels harder to manage than it should
- I want things to feel more organised, consistent and under control
The good news is that these are common business issues — and with the right structure, they can be improved.
How I Help....
I help business owners improve performance by looking at three key areas of the business: The numbers, the systems and the team. The aim is to bring more clarity, stronger structure and better day-to-day control, so the business can run more effectively and more profitably.
1
Financial Clarity
Get a clearer view of how the business is performing, where profit is being won or lost, and what the numbers are really telling you. This helps you make better decisions around pricing, overheads, cashflow and growth.
2
Stronger systems
Improve how the business operates day to day with clearer processes, more consistent ways of working and better structure behind the scenes. This helps reduce inefficiency, repeat problems and owner overload.
3
Stronger team accountability
Clarify roles, responsibilities and expectations so the team can work more effectively and the business does not rely so heavily on you to keep everything moving.
How It Works ...
Start with a focused diagnostic to identify the key issues in the business, then move into the 12 Week Business FiTT Programme to work on the priorities that matter most.
Step 1 ...
The Business Diagnostic
A focused review of the business to identify the main issues across finances, systems and team structure. This first step helps bring clarity on what is really affecting performance and where improvements are needed most.
- Identify the main pressure points in the business
- Get clarity on what is affecting performance
- Highlight gaps in systems, structure and visibility
- Understand what needs to be prioritised first
- Decide whether deeper support is needed
Step 2 ...
The 12-week Business FiTT Plan
A structured 12 week programme designed to work through the priorities identified in the diagnostic. The focus is on improving business performance, strengthening structure and helping the business run more effectively day to day.
- Improve financial clarity and decision-making
- Strengthen systems and business processes
- Clarify team roles and accountability
- Focus on the changes that will make the biggest difference
- Create a business that feels more manageable and in control

What business owners often say after working together...
“We were flat out, but I couldn’t see where the money was going. We weren’t as profitable as I thought. Once we reviewed it properly, the problems were much clearer.”
RACHP business owner, Ireland
“I was always worried about taking time off as there was no money going into the bank account. I’m delighted I know how to manage that now. I take more Saturdays off now as well!.”
Jamie Cummins, Dentist,
“I just wanted to do less of the day to day time consuming chores but wasn’t sure how to make that happen. Now I have evreything down to a 2 hour window each week. .”
Peter, Facilities Management.
Meet Elaine, the person behind Business FiTT
Elaine Smith works with owner-managed businesses to improve performance, strengthen systems and bring more clarity to the way the business runs. Her approach combines financial insight with practical business improvement, helping business owners get a clearer view of what is happening in the business and what needs to change.
Having run her own business and worked closely with small business owners across different sectors, Elaine understands the pressures that come with growth, team management and day-to-day decision-making. She knows that when systems are unclear, responsibilities are blurred and the owner is carrying too much, the business can quickly feel harder to manage than it should.
Her work is focused on helping businesses become more organised, more commercially aware and less dependent on constant owner oversight — with practical support that makes sense in the real world.
