The Issue: This business had experienced rapid growth and the owner felt things were getting out of his control. He was still doing too much of the work himself and had not changed the structure of the business as it scaled up.

The Solution:

  • We set up the financial dashboard so that there was clear structure around what work was lined up, which was most profitable and what the costs of the business were. This meant the owner felt more relaxed that there was enough work lined up and he could focus on organising the business better. It also set clear targets for the sales team to work towards which increased productivity without even trying
  • We then looked at what tasks could be easily delegated to others in the business namely tasks around ordering and pricing and managing projects ; ensured everyone knew what they were doing and what they were responsible for and developed a reporting system for the owner so he did not need to be looking over everyone’s shoulder all the time.
  • We examined all the key processes in the business and identified where there were bottlenecks occurring and developed a better system so that work flowed more efficiently.
